After a series of pop-up studio projects in collaboration with universities in Milan, Berlin, and New York, he gained experience, as part of design teams in both North America and Europe.

His design operates in various fields of product design and creative direction. This work has included developing projects for clients such as CC-Tapis, Glas Italia, Kalmar Werkstätten, Mabeo Furniture, Serralunga, Zanotta, the LRRH_ Art Project, and others in a wide range of venues from high-end furniture to contemporary art.

Just Light / Not Just Light

The lamp was exhibited in all-glass and glass-and-plastic versions. Both works embody the same pared-down form, although the glass lamp is dematerialized, exposing the functionality of the light itself, while in plastic the work underscores the design’s essential composition. Accordingly, the iterations have been named Just light and Not Just Light.

The basis of both lamp designs is the precision and delicacy of the flame-worked glass process: in the Not Just Light this precision craftsmanship is combined with molded plastic to reveal a modern, less fragile, domestic character. The lamps share a common base, a sand-filled glass volume, which juxtaposes glass in refined and raw compound states and provides ballast for the cantilevered design. The simple form and potential color combinations illustrate the pieces’ flexibility for spaces of various aesthetics.
